Step 1: Initial Meeting
This is an introductory meeting to discuss your background information. It is where we start getting to know your business. We also use this meeting to review critical areas like coverages and costs, and the impact they have on both your business and your employees, and to suggest coverage options that might provide the added value employers look for.
Step 2: Data Collection
Here, Benefit Development Group collects historic plan information from you, as well as information pertaining to your current insurance carriers. We also collect membership and enrollment data.
Step 3: Benefit Review
During the Benefit Review, we conduct a comprehensive review of your current plan design, and then develop a strategy for future success.
Step 4: Plan of Action Recommendation
In this step, we present a recommended benefit design - and alternatives - for your approval. Recommendations will be based on the specific needs we have identified together, for your business. For some clients this will mean benefit enhancement. For others, it may mean cost cutting or voluntary benefits.
Step 5: Comprehensive Competitive Quote Process
This is a request by Benefit Development Group for competitive bids from a select number of insurance companies. We will submit either a highly detailed Request For Proposal (RFP), or a less detailed Request For Quotation (RFQ), depending upon client preferences and available time.
Step 6: Consolidated In-Depth Client Presentation
At this stage, Benefit Development Group analyzes the proposals, and compares your current plan to what is presently available in the market. Our comprehensive report will show you a detailed cost analysis, based on your contribution strategy. Also included are financial impacts, benefit comparisons, and recommendations on plan design and carrier selection.
Step 7: Final Decision Making Assistance
Benefit Development Group helps with final decisions by thoroughly reviewing all the options with you, and then working with insurance carriers to make final changes, allowing you to select the best available and most cost effective solution.
Step 8: Implementation Support
We work with our clients and selected carrier(s) to make the open enrollment period as smooth an implementation as possible.
Step 9: Continued Customer Service
We make our expertise continually available, in every aspect of the benefit spectrum and throughout the year. You will be able to rely on Benefit Development Group for ongoing strategy, new product roll-outs, and day-to-day service issues. Step 10: Quarterly Updates
As part of our ongoing service, we meet with our clients quarterly to go over the following, as well as new ideas and issues to focus on any new objectives or concerns our clients may have.
